How to Go About This

I sometimes do work that isn't meant to tug at the heartstrings and make you cry, because it's just commercial business. Such was the case when I was asked to video the demolition of a deck. I went out and shot the footage, then began to put it together. I thought, "How do I make this interesting?" Well, maybe if we think about the deck as if there's a story to be told. Then you have to ask yourself, what purpose did this deck serve? I assume there were hundreds of barbecues, morning coffees, casual relaxing reclines after work or on the weekends to unwind. There were years of enjoyment and blessing, and yet now the sun has set on its usefulness. The timbers are rotting and beginning to give way, and so as all things in the way of the world, the old has to go to make room for the new. So, I chose this sad love song... It started as a joke, but the guy loved it, so I guess we're going with it. Who knew? ;)
